In order to provide Louisiana residents with easy access to critical public health information, the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals and the Louisiana Public Health Institute have partnered to create the Stay Healthy Louisiana campaign.

Stay Healthy Louisiana’s web site, stayhealthyla.org, serves as a centralized resource for public health and disaster readiness/recovery information. Through the website, two toll-free hotlines (1-888-419-HEALTHY, or 1-888-419-4325, and 1-888-LA INFO 4U, or 1-888-524-6364), and various other media, Stay Healthy Louisiana keeps residents informed about emergency preparedness, mental health, fitness and nutrition, safe environmental conditions, and other health topics.

The Stay Healthy Louisiana campaign is maintained through a grant from the Centers for Disease Control Foundation.

The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all citizens of the State of Louisiana.

The goal of the Louisiana Public Health Institute (LPHI) is to promote and improve health and quality of life in Louisiana at the community, parish, and state level. We connect people, ideas, organizations, and resources to bring about positive change.

The CDC Foundation helps the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention do more, faster by forging effective partnerships between CDC and individuals, foundations and corporations to fight threats to health and safety.
